What a week!

This blog is really for all things quilty, but lately I have not done anything quilty! So sad.

I am in, as one of my friends calls it, a perfect storm! The last few days have involved me leaving my job of almost 10 years, moving my daughter into her first apartment, moving my son's stuff into storage so he can go do an internship at Disney World, work on organizing, throwing out, etc stuff in the house in prep for the big move to Colorado and getting ready from my oldest son's wedding on Sat in Maine!

Whew! I am tired just writing about it!

But it is all exciting stuff... just coming together in a perfect storm of happenings!

If I were to post a picture, it would be of piles of "stuff". So I will spare the ugliness.

Quilt Market is in Kansas City this week. Normally I would be sad not to be there, but I think a wedding is a great trade off! So off on the next errand  and I hope you all are doing what I can't do! Quilting!

Happy quilting
Kate

p.s. someone in this house has a lot of fabric and I am not sure it can all come to Colorado. What to do?

Colorado

I flew into Colorado last night for my first visit in my new state. It is very different from Connecticut! I have been driving around this am just trying to get a feel for the place. This afternoon, my hubby and Imwill look at a house to rent. And maybe I can check out some of the local quilt shops. I saw one that sells fabric, machines and yarn! Win, win! I drove into Morrison Colorado this am and felt like I was in an old movie set. There were old buildings from the 1800s as the shops, with hills and red rocks in the background. Wow. I wish I could post a picture, but trust me, I felt like I had gone back in time. They even have a noise ordinance! happy quilting! Kate
